Recipes For Blending Essential Oils

The popularity of essential oils has skyrocketed. The benefits and uses are becoming more adapted to everyday life. There are a lot of choices for blends by all of the companies that sell essential oils. Here are a few recipes that use blends of single oils so that you can adapt the scent or strength to your own needs.

These ratios are for diffusers that hold one hundred and fifty milliliters of water, adjust the ratio for diffusers that hold more water.

  • BRAIN MIX: This mix is for days that will require an intense amount of focus and the ability to be creative or make important decisions.

Four drops of lemon essential oil – lifts the mood
Four drops of cypress essential oil – helps creates vitality and energy
One to two drops of basil essential oil – for focus and elevates stress

  • EVERYDAY MIX: This mix can be used every day to create a friendly homey atmosphere with the aroma of baked grapefruit with brown sugar sprinkled on top.

Six to eight drop of pink grapefruit essential oil – uplifts mood
One to two drops of cinnamon essential oil – warm calming scent

  • SLEEPYTIME MIX: This mix is great for night time relaxation and quality sleep.

Six to eight drops of lavender essential oil – relaxing scent that promotes a good night’s sleep
One to two drops of cinnamon essential oil – warm calming scent

For a night after an extremely stressful day, you can also add one to two drops of bergamot essential oil which has an extra calming, soothing benefit.

  • SPA DAY BLEND: This mix can be used to surround yourself with an atmosphere of rejuvenation and stress relief.

For an extra little zing, you can add one to two drops of eucalyptus essential oils (not recommended for infants) to help clear the mind and your breathing.
