The way Americans get their news is changing.
Despite the fact that TV still dominates as a news source for most of people, it's losing its position every year. Younger adults don't watch as much TV as older generations and get their news from new media sources online. Between 2011 and 2016, traditional TV viewing by younger adults has seen a dramatic drop.

At the same time, digital media keeps gaining momentum among younger people, who are shaping the future of media consumption. The 2016 election cycle has shown that online news sources will take over in the near future.
