Protein Shakes abound in the grocery stores and health stores. They are expensive and usually contain questionable ingredients. But what if you could make your own, purely healthy, inexpensive and absolutely tasty protein drink at home? That would be fantastic but also impossible, you say? What if I were to give you three wonderful recipes for protein drinks at the low low price of … (drumroll)… Free? Here they are-

  1. The Strawberry Slimmity-Slam 20-22 grams of Protein 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 cup of frozen strawberries 1 cup of ice cubes (approx. 8) 1/32 of teaspoon of powdered stevia or sweeten to taste using own sweetener 2 pinches of Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Mineral Salt 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla- do not add if using vanilla flavored protein Squeeze of Lemon Juice 2 scoops of Whey Protein (1 Serving based on your requirements- Non flavored or Vanilla Flavored) _ _Place all of the ingredients (except protein) into a blender. Blend until ice and strawberries are creamy. Add the protein and blend for another 15 seconds. Taste and perfect to your personal preference.__

  2. Strawberry Protein Cow-Juice - 5 grams of Protein 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk or regular milk 3 frozen strawberries 1/64 of teaspoon of stevia or sweeten to taste using own sweetener 1/2 a scoop of Whey Protein (1/4 Serving based on your requirements- Non flavored or Vanilla flavored) 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla- do not add if using vanilla flavored protein           Place all ingredients into a blender and mix until delectable!

  3. The Protein FrappaMocha- 20-22 grams of Protein 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk 6-8 oz. of coffee (Can use water for regular Chocolate Frappe) 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder 1/32 of teaspoon of powdered stevia or sweeten to taste using own sweetener 2 pinches of Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Mineral Salt 20 ice cubes 1/2 of a teaspoon of Glucomannan powder (can be purchased at Sprouts or vitacost.com) 2 scoops of Whey Protein (1 Serving based on your requirements- Non flavored or Vanilla Flavored)                                      Place all of the ingredients except the ice cubes and whey protein in a blender and blend about 15 seconds. Add the ice a bit at a time until silky. Then add the protein while the blender is still blending. Proceed blending until frothy and thick.
