Eggs

Protein is an essential to your everyday diet.  Protein provides you with energy and restores your muscles.  Getting the appropriate amount of protein daily is important to having a healthy, functioning, and strong body.  According to Authority Nutritions, “Studies have shown eating eggs at breakfast increases feelings of fullness, reduces calorie intake at the next meal and helps maintain steady blood sugar and insulin levels (1, 2, 3).”  Other benefits to eating eggs in the morning include antioxidants that improve the health or your eyes and keep you from overeating due to the fact that eggs promote the feeling of fullness without overloading on calories.  Although eggs have previously been given a bad wrap for being a cholesterol monster, new studies have shown that “the cholesterol in our food has less of an impact on blood cholesterol than previously thought”, according to Health.com
