Exciting news from Instagram HQ - the latest in Instagram's feature updates is the option to post live videos. Currently available only to users in the U.S., Instagram plans to make the feature available to all users in the coming weeks.
Unlike Facebook, live videos on Instagram will disappear when the user stops streaming. Because the live videos are not stored, your followers are only able to see them while they are being broadcasted.
U.S. users can also visit the "Explore" tab to find the "Top Live" section, which will feature the best live content currently on stream, as determined by Instagram's algorithm. If you've updated your app and still don't see the "live" option, no need to fret. It's expected to become available to more and more users in the near future.
