The 18k gold toilet is located on the 5th floor of New York City’s Guggenheim Museum and is available for public use. Guggenheim’s blog said of this new installations, “In a gallery environment where visitors are constantly being told, ‘don’t touch,’ this is an extraordinary opportunity to spend time completely alone with a work of art by a leading contemporary artist.”
Considering the price of gold, it’s estimated that the work is valued between $2-$3million dollars in the US.
