Want to fight your parking ticket?
A 19-year-old student at Stanford University, Joshua Browder, has created the first legal chatbot that successfully challenged over 160,000 parking tickets in London and New York City. And it's absolutely free and called DoNotPay (DoNotPay.co.uk).
Browder claims that over 160,000 parking tickets have been challenged so far with around 60% success rate. The simple chat interface asks users a few basic questions before auto-generating a legal appeal for a parking ticket.
Browder has plans to roll out his parking ticket chatbot to Seattle soon. Beyond that, his next project is to design a chatbot to help Arabic-speaking asylum seekers and refugees fill out applications to receive public benefits and other documents, auto-generating the forms in both English and Arabic.
