This recipe was created by Yolanda Gampp, of YouTube’s How To Cake It. The base of the cake is made of red velvet, iced with Italian Meringue buttercream, and topped with fondant and raspberry jam.
Once the red velvet cake is baked, carve the base into a brain shape and cover with simple syrup. The recipe for this base can be found here
Next, you’ll want to roll your fondant into ropes and place it on top of the base in patterns that resemble brain tissue
Then it’s time for the strawberry jam
